We kindly invite You to the opening of Kaunas' Artists' exhibition The Break Generation, curated by Elena Balsiukaitė Brazdžiūnienė. Opening on the 3rd of September (Friday) at 6 pm. at Meno Parkas Gallery (Rotušės a. 27, Kaunas).
Exhibition is dedicated to those Kaunas‘ artists, who have started their creative path just after Lithuanian Independence was re-established in 1990. The most intensive creative growth of this generation took place in the turmoil of the reorganization of changing social and political systems. In 1997 art critic Eglė Komkaitė–Baltušnikienė named this group of artists’ “The Break Generation”. In this case – “break” doesn’t mean deficiency or flaw – it nominates liminal state between modernistic and post modernistic art.
