Meno Parkas Gallery is presenting exhibition of two prominent painters “Jonas & Kaido II“. It will open on the 27th of February in Tartu Art House (Vanemuise 26, 51014 Tartu, Estonia). It is the third time Jonas Gasiūnas (LT) and Kaido Ole (EE) are exhibiting together and the second time exhibition of this duo is organized by “Meno parkas“.
In this exhibition are not only joined cultural fields of Lithuania and Estonia. Profound introductory article is written by famous Polish curator and art critic Krzysztof Stanislawski, who monitored and analysed creative path of both artists for years.
In spacious venues of Tartu Art House will be presented the most recent pieces by artists – traditionally large scale works by Jonas Gasiūnas and unusually small size painting by Kaido Ole.
Dedication of the exhibition is made for the friendship that both painters cherish for more than twenty years. In spite of all differences in stylistics and themes of their arts, even distinct personal features, they are joined by their creative nature, the urgency that they approach art. As Krzysztof Stanislawski put it: „Paradoxically, they are so different that they resemble each other.”
This exhibition is a part of Meno Parkas Gallery international project „Art Line. 2021“. Project is partly financed by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
